DCCDUSA is hard at work focusing on our neighborhoods as centers of art-making. In the fall of 2019, through partnerships with Dallas Independent School District and AT&T Performing Arts Center, DCCDUSA Arts Lab Residency embedded DCCDUSA's artistic staff into H. Grady Spruce High School for one month to provide a hands-on look at devising a brand-new work.

In January of 2021, in partnership with AT&T Performing Arts Center and Eoghan Dillon (Founder of RED RHINO), DCCDUSA created an Inclusive Dance Curriculum for online learning distributed to public schools in over 15 North Texas districts.

In 2021 we began a partnership with Las Cruces Public Schools Fine Arts that allowed us to produce free monthly community masterclasses for movers of all levels and abilities (ages 12+) taught by our professional artists. Forty-eight dancers participated in our third and most recent class filling the gymnasium of Picacho Middle School.

This fall, through a new partnership with Socorro Independent School District, we will again embed our entire artistic staff (director, composer, dancers, lighting designer, and costume designer) for one week into Pebble Hills High School to provide a hands-on look at the process of mounting a world premiere, evening-length, Western. This residency offers students access to open rehearsals, movement, music, and technical theatre masterclasses and talkbacks led by DCCDUSA artists and free tickets to the opening night of our Western's four planned public performances.
